Born in Amstetten / Österreich. He was deputising in all the major Viennese Classical Orchestras and finally was a permanent member of the Vienna Philharmonic from 1996 until 1998. Since 1998 he has devoted himself exclusively to jazz, wor- king with the Vienna Art Orchestra, Ray Anderson, Kenny Wheeler, Karl Ratzer and countless others.
